Going into today's final league game against Notts County, things could not be tighter for Chesterfield Futsal's 'B' team
The young Spireites are currently in third place in the standings, just one place outside of the qualification berth for the national finals, trailing West Bromwich Albion.
The two teams are currently level on points and level on goal difference, but the Baggies hold a slight advantage over the Spireites having scored more goals.
Chesterfield 'B' therefore have to better West Brom's result against table toppers Derby County in order to overtake them and qualify for the national championships.
The Chesterfield 'A' team have already managed to make it to the national finals after a successful campaign in League 1 and their compatriots will be hoping for success against Notts County today in order to join them in the finals.
Chesterfield Futsal are made up of an 'A' team and 'B' team. These teams consist of 16-18 year olds that play Futsal whilst completing a BTEC course in Sport Studies. They compete in the North Midlands Division, League One and League Two.
In total throughout the futsal leagues around the country there are currently 30 football league clubs involved and that number will be increasing to 44 from next year.
