Dublin born striker, Eoin Doyle, is hopeful he can help the Spireites to success in the upcoming season.Doyle had played the majority of his career in the League of Ireland with spells at Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers before spending 18 months at Scottish Premier League side, Hibernian.
After months of speculation over the arrival of Doyle at Chesterfield, the striker was happy to confirm the move and begin his time at the club. "It’s nice to get over the line and get things sorted," said Doyle, speaking to Spireites Player.
The Irish forward is now eagerly anticipating the challenge of League Two, Doyle said: “These are the leagues I’ve always wanted to play in and it’s nice to get the opportunity.
“I’m looking to the future now and hopefully trying to achieve success at this club."
The striker arrives at the Proact Stadium as an early summer addition to Paul Cook's playing staff, and with several more players expected to arrive before the beginning of the 2013-14 campaign, Doyle hopes the new-look team can make a strong start to the season. “It’s going to be a fresh start for a lot of us, hopefully we can gel quick and get off to a good start," said the forward.
