Spireites Manager, Paul Cook, believes the game against Leeds United in the first round of the Capital One Cup will be tough but will be good for the fans.

Chesterfield were drawn against Brian McDermott's side in Monday's first round Capital One Cup draw and will face The Whites for the first time since 1960.

Cook knows that it will be a tough test for the Spireites but is eagerly anticipating the fixture. “We know it’s a tough challenge, it really is a tough draw but like most football matches it’s one we look forward to," said the Chesterfield boss, speaking to Spireites Player.

The Spireites Manager added: “It will be a intriguing one for our supporters, we take good support everywhere we go.

“Certainly going up to Elland Road to play a game of football is very exciting for everyone."

With the full Football League fixture lists to be published on Wednesday, June 19; the start of the new campaign seems much closer for Cook. “The weeks have been a bit slow and painful but as now we’re back in, the staff are all in this morning, the players report back on Thursday and the fixtures are out on Wednesday," said the boss.
