Players and staff got in the party mood at the Proact Stadium as young Spireite, Danny Jackson, celebrated his eighth birthday.
On Saturday, June 29, Danny and his friends celebrated his birthday at the Proact Stadium by taking part in an hour-long coaching session with a Chesterfield FC Community Trust coach.
The training session was then followed by a tour of the stadium. After working up an appetite during the session, the partygoers went to the West Stand where they enjoyed sandwiches and cakes.
The first-team squad were in the stadium that day as part of their pre-season training programme and manager Paul Cook and players Tommy Lee, Marc Richards and Armand Gnanduillet dropped by to pose for photographs and sign autographs for the youngsters.
It was a special day not only for the kids, but also for a very special fan of the club, Danny's grandfather, who is a founder member of the Spireites.
When asked what the best thing about the day was, Danny simply said “everything” and after such a great day he has insisted that his birthday party will be held at the club again next year.
From September onwards, with the opening of the Community Hub, the Community Trust will be offering a range of different birthday parties for children. Contact the Community Trust on 01246 209765 or email email@example.com for more information.
