Chesterfield face local rivals Sheffield Wednesday at the Proact Stadium on Saturday, looking to hit back after a home defeat to Wolves in midweek.
This is the Spireites' last pre-season friendly before the new campaign, starting against Bury, next weekend. After impressive performances against higher league sides, Chesterfield will be hoping for a similar performance against the Owls.
The last time the sides met, Chesterfield came out on top. A Dean Morgan penalty was enough to seal a 1-0 victory in 2012; however Chesterfield were unable to avoid relegation that season.
Wednesday, who earned a 1-0 victory over Rangers midweek, have enjoyed a positive pre-season so far, also beating Stockport County and Scunthorpe United.
Owls striker Michail Antonio has been in good form, scoring twice in Wednesday's pre-season programme. The Owls have lost just once so far in pre-season, at the hands of Portuguese side Braga.
Having finished 18th last season, Wednesday kick off their Championship campaign against QPR on August, 3, and will look to kick on from last season.
Kick-off against the Owls is at 3pm, with tickets priced £10 for adults and £5 for concessions (ages 15-18 / ages 65+).
