Chesterfield travel to The Silverlands on Saturday for the first pre-season friendly of the 2013/14 season.
This will be the first match since the final day of last season against Exeter City and will give Paul Cook a valuable opportunity to see how far the team has progressed over the summer months.
It will also give the Spireites fans the chance to see the majority of the new signings in action as they are all expected to feature at some stage.
The Bucks finished last season on a low note, after crashing to a 2-0 away defeat at the hands of Worksop Town. Buxton’s manager Martin McIntosh, who will be reunited with old Stockport County team mate Paul Cook, will be hoping for an improvement.
Having finished 7th and 13th in their last two seasons, The Bucks are an established mid- table side in The Northern Premier League.
A player you may recognise is Sam Duncum, who previously played for Rotherham, Ilkeston and Eastwood Town before making the move to Buxton.
Adding to the connections between the two sides, Buxton defender, Grant Black, was on Barnsley’s books around the same time as Chesterfield's Drew Talbot.
The last time the Spireites played at Buxton was in 1994 where the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Tickets are available on the gate at The Silverlands and are priced at £10 for adults (18 and over), £6 for concessions (under 18 / over 65 / students) and children under the age of 14 can enter free of charge as long as they are accompanied by a full paying adult, otherwise under 14 tickets are £2.
