Chesterfield Football club can confirm that Craig Westcarr has left the club with immediate effect after an agreement was reached to terminate his contract.
The 27-year-old striker, who joined from Notts County in August 2011, recently completed a spell on loan at Walsall.
Westcarr scored the second goal in Chesterfield’s 2-0 victory over Swindon Town in last season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final.
Chesterfield chief executive Chris Turner thanked the former Nottingham Forest player for his services.
He added: “Craig has been a good professional during his time with us and he’ll always be remembered for his goal at Wembley. We wish him well for the future.”
