Chesterfield have made Terrell Forbes, Scott Boden and Jack Waddle available for transfer.
The trio join Neal Trotman and Craig Westcarr on the transfer list at the Proact Stadium.
Spireites boss Paul Cook explained the thinking behind the decision. He said: “I see the future of the three lads away from our club so they have gone on the list with a view to a loan or permanent deal.
“To keep the balance within the squad, there must be outgoings to allow players to come in.”
Experienced defender Forbes, who started his career at West Ham and later played for QPR, joined Chesterfield in the summer after being released by Leyton Orient.
Striker Boden, 23, signed for the Spireites in 2008 after being released by Sheffield United.
Waddle, a 19-year-old winger, was handed his first professional contract in the summer.
