Spireites boss Paul Cook has ruled-out the possibility of signing any new players before the transfer window closes.
"There will be nothing happening at our end before midnight tonight," Cook told Spireites Player. "We are where we're at. I thought we had a very positive AGM on Monday and it was outlined that we've spent heavily on the infrastructure of the club and the training ground.
"The chairman and the board of directors need a little bit of breathing space. It's easy for everyone to say what we should be doing. We've spent heavily and that's where we're at. There are no problems with it.
"I have a squad now that I have to go with and I have no issues with it. We have got great players at the club and we should be getting more points than we've got at the minute. My job is to turn those performances into results."
Cook, who added that he does not expect any players to leave before the deadline, admits he is not a fan of beat-the-deadline deals. He said: "I think there's got to be a lot more method in what you're doing - a lot more planning."
