Chesterfield have secured the loan signings of young Manchester City winger Alex Henshall and Barnsley midfielder Jordan Clark.
Both players join the club for one month which will take them up to, and include, the game at home to Plymouth Argyle on March 23.
Henshall, who recently turned 19, joined City from Swindon Town in 2010 and has regularly impressed with their Under 18s.
A left-winger by trade, Alex has featured for England at both Under 16 and Under 17 level.
Last year he was placed on alert for the 2012 British Olympic football team by manager Stuart Pearce, but missed out on the final 18-man squad.
Jordan Clark, a versatile midfielder, is a product of Barnsley’s academy.
The 19-year-old can play anywhere across the middle and is held in high regard at Oakwell due to his technical ability.
Clark won Barnsley’s ‘Most Promising Academy Player’ award for the 2009-2010 season and made his senior debut against QPR in 2011.
Both players will be available for Paul Cook’s squad to face Gillingham tomorrow, subject to the completion of paperwork.
