Spireites boss Paul Cook is eagerly anticipating Saturday's local derby against Rotherham United.

Cook's men travel to New York Stadium on the back of a 2-0 win over AFC Wimbledon last weekend.

The Millers themselves come into the game after an impressive win away at Torquay United in mid-week, and currently occupy the last play-off place in League Two.

Mr.Cook is expecting a tough game in South Yorkshire but insists that all Chesterfield's preparations have been on coming back with a win.

He said: "We go to Rotherham in a great game on Saturday and we just want to win. We don't want to complicate it with formations etc, we just want our supporters to go there, like we know they're going to, and we want them to come back happy.

"All our preparation is about winning. This club and the players, we try to speak about mentalities all the time. It's about winning football games.

"Criticisms of us lately on me and my players has been that we're dominating games and not winning. It hasn't been defending deep, defending the edge of the box.

"What we must do is make sure that we are as effective in the box as out the box. Defensively sound, create chances, scores goals adds up to winning games. And we'll just keep working away at it.

"I do believe that actions speak louder than words."

The Spireites will be backed by a 2,300 strong army of travelling supporters at the weekend, and Cook knows how important a win is for them.

"It is a game with more than three points at stake, I don't think anyone should kid themselves," the manager told members of the press at his pre-match press conference.

"At the end of the day if we win we get three points but we also get a lot of bragging rights, and that's important. If we lose we take it on the chin and accept it.

"We must come away from that ground on Saturday saying 'we can't do anymore'."

The Liverpudlian largely kept his cards close to his chest with regards to his team selection. But he did reveal one player that is certain to start.

"One thing I will tell everyone nice and early is that Jack Lester starts on Saturday."
