Chesterfield will host Plymouth Argyle on Saturday in their 20th fixture of the 2013/14 League 2 campaign.

The Spireites come into Saturday's game on the back of a 6-5 penalty shoot-out victory over Oldham Athletic in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night. In the league Chesterfield have taken nine points from their last six games, falling 3-2 to Newport County in their last league outing at Rodney Parade.

The defeat at Newport left Chesterfield second in the Sky Bet League 2 table, one point behind leaders Oxford United and 14 places and ten points above Saturday's opponents, Plymouth Argyle.

The Pilgrims approach this fixture having taken 11 points from their last six league games. A 1-0 defeat to Burton Albion in their last league outing at Home Park ended an eight-game unbeaten streak in all competitions for the Devon side.

Since falling to the Brewers, Plymouth took on Welling in the second round of the FA Cup where goals from Andres Gurrieri, Curtis Nelson and Lewis Alessandra sealed a 3-1 victory for the League 2 outfit.

John Sheridan's side last visited the Proact Stadium in April this year and prevailed 2-1 through goals from Joe Bryan and Curtis Nelson, ending the Spireites play-off ambitions for the 2012/13 season.

"They've had one or two not great results and we're in decent form ourselves and we'll go there confident of getting something from the game."
