Sam Morsy, who joined Chesterfield earlier this year, believes the team's early success owes a lot to the organisation of the coaching staff. The midfielder, who signed for the Spireites in June, feels he has settled in at the club and is delighted with the ambition shown at the Proact Stadium.
He said: “I’ve settled in great, it’s a fantastic club, great vision and the manager and staff are spot on."
Speaking after the Cheltenham Town game about the club's strong early season form, Morsy said: “As you can see by the way they set us up, as they did against Leeds as well, we’re so organised and it’s going really well.
“The confidence Paul [Cook] puts in all his players is unbelievable, nothing I’ve seen before. He gets the best out of everyone and it shows on the pitch.”
Morsy won promotion with Port Vale in 2012/13 and knows what it takes to get out of League Two.
Speaking about Chesterfield's chances of following in the footsteps of his former team, the midfielder said: “What we had at Port Vale was application, that team had a great team spirit that will take you through. I think we’ve got a similar team spirit at Chesterfield and with the added quality we’ve got a great chance.”
