The Chesterfield manager feels the squad are fully prepared for their visit to Elland Road.

In an interview with Spireites Player, Paul Cook revealed that all pre-match preparations for Wednesday night's game against Leeds United have been completed and the team are ready for the challenge.

The manager said: “We’ve done our homework. Paul Mitchell, our chief scout, has been up there to watch them, we’ve got our reports on them and we’ve been through a presentation on Leeds this morning."

“We prepare thoroughly, we really do prepare thoroughly with our position now and match analysis," added Cook.

The Liverpudlian described the feeling of anticipation around the squad for the Capital One Cup tie: “We’re very much looking forward to the game, very much looking forward to being inside the stadium and very much looking forward to pitting ourselves against a very strong side.

“The lads have trained excellently since Saturday, there’s been a good buzz about them in terms of getting that result," explained the manager.

Cook knows that a strong following will help the players throughout the cup tie and fully expects the fans to deliver. He said: “Our travelling support on Saturday was fantastic, they sung for the whole game and we know at Leeds it will be no different.”
