Following an incident that occurred at half-time in the recent game against Port Vale, it is clear there has been some confusion regarding club policy.
Supporters who wish to take a smoking break are allowed to leave the stadium, on the understanding that they remain close to the exit gate, in view of the attendant steward.
Those who do not remain in the vicinity of the exit gate, or try to gain access once the second-half is underway, will not be re-admitted.
“Signs will be posted in the stadium, reminding supporters of the rules and we would appreciate their co-operation,” said Spireites chief executive Chris Turner.
“It should be pointed out that many clubs don’t allow supporters to leave the stadium at half-time in games and gain re-admittance.”
