Caretaker-manager Tommy Wright was pleased with the way his side bounced back from a disappointing result at home to Dagenham & Redbridge with an impressive three points at St.James Park.
The Spireites put in an impressive display against Exeter at the weekend with Chris Atkinson heading home the only goal of the game just after the half hour mark.
That result sees Chesterfield sit just one point off a play-off place and Wright wants his side to show the consistency require to climb up the table.
Speaking ahead of the home game against Fleetwood, he said: "I've always said and I've emphasised to you guys [members of the press] that when we have everybody I think we'll be a strong force, and I do believe that.
"You will lose games but the biggest thing is bouncebackability, the Iain Dowie word, when you lose one can you bounce back and we did that ok.
"Everybody was down after Saturday [against Dagenham & Redbridge], this was happening, that was happening but we just stuck together and stayed calm and got a good result.
"It's just that consistency, that's what we're all looking for.
"I was pleased with the way we played, the only thing is that we needed that second goal really," Wright said about the win at Exeter.
"The last 10 minutes was a bit tense but as I say we created a lot of chances, their keeper got man of the match I believe; and rightly so.
"But I was pleased with the overall performance especially away from home."
