Chesterfield have secured the services of Huddersfield Town midfielder Chris Atkinson for a further month.
The 20-year-old will remain at the Proact until Saturday, November 24 and he will be available to play in Chesterfield’s game at Plymouth Argyle on that date.
Atkinson has impressed since joining the Spireites on a temporary basis in mid-September, scoring three goals in nine appearances. He scored the only goal of the game in Chesterfield’s 1-0 win at Exeter City on Saturday.
“I’m pleased that Chris will be staying with us,” said Chesterfield caretaker-manager Tommy Wright.
“I spoke to the Huddersfield manager, Simon Grayson, who’s delighted that he’s staying here. Simon is pleased with how he’s playing and how we’re looking after him."
