Top Names Heading To The Proact

A host of top names from sport and entertainment will visit the Proact Stadium in 2013 after Chesterfield FC formed a partnership with Sheffield and Hallamshire Sporting Club.

A series of private dinners have been booked, featuring the likes of World Cup winner Gordon Banks, legendary musician Rick Wakeman and iconic sitcom characters Marlene & Boycie.

Each dinner will be for approximately 40 guests and include a four-course meal. The dates confirmed so far are as follows:

Wednesday, December 12:Paul Cook. A chance for Chesterfield fans to have a private audience with the manager.

Monday, February 11:Paul Merson. The legendary former England and Arsenal star, now a top pundit on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday show, will recount some anecdotes from his career.

Friday, March 22:Rick Wakeman. A keyboard player with Yes, Rick is a top raconteur who will talk about his career in music and passion for football. Included in the evening will be a mini concert exclusively for the dinner guests.

Thursday, April 11: Gordon Banks. The World Cup winning goalkeeper will talk about his glittering career, which of course started at Chesterfield.
Friday, May 10: Marlene & Boycie. The country’s favourite sitcom couple from Only Fools & Horses will provide guests with an evening to remember. 

Tickets are priced at £39.95 each. The dress code is lounge suits and all events will commence at 7pm for 7.45pm.
