New loan signing Jay O'Shea hopes that Chesterfield supporters find him exciting to watch if he gets a run in the team.
The attacking midfielder joined from MK Dons earlier in the week until January 5 and watched from the bench as the Spireites demolished Cheltenham in the week.
Speaking to Spireites Player about the move, O'Shea said: "It's nice to be here. It was a good win the other night, the boys looked sharp, I thought they were very good against a good Cheltenham side as well so looking forward to getting into it.
"There's a lot of time [to make an impact], especially with the busy Christmas period. There's lots of games around then and the New Year so hopefully I can make an impact.
"He [Paul Cook] just said come in and do well for me and see how it goes and then by January see what's happening by then, whether or not i'll extend it or not, see if MK [Dons] will let me.
"I'm not too sure [about the possibily of extending the deal] at the minute but at the moment I've just got to come here and try and do well enough to show that I'm good enough to play here.
"Then hopefully if I can do well enough, whether I stay here or go back to MK, just get some fitness up and get some games in."
The 24-year-old is no stranger to the Proact Stadium, he scored and turned in a high quality performance in the 1-1 draw with MK Dons last season; a day O'Shea remembers fondly.
He said: "I remember playing here last year, it was St.Patrick's day as well, and I got a goal so that was a good day.
"I think if I'm playing well then I'm exciting to watch, hopefully if I get a good run in the team they'll [the fans] think the same."
