Preparations for the new season are well underway and Tommy Lee can't wait to get going.
Along with the rest of the squad, Tommy started a gruelling pre-season programme on Saturday, July 7.
Despite training being notroiously difficult at this stage of the season, the players' Player of the Year and fans' Player of the Year revealed that he is delighted to be back.
He said: "It's good. It's been tough but you expect that.
"I think the new lads have settled in well and we're all raring to go now."
The 26-year-old has been impressed with the players bought in by manager John Sheridan.
“They seem like they’ve got good pedigree and a lot of experience as well," he said.
“I’ve played against Marc (Richards) a few times and he’s a really good player but I’m looking forward to playing with the other lads as well.”
Chesterfield's first pre-season game is away at Matlock Town on Tuesday, July 24.
