Terrell Forbes is pleased with how the squad is looking ahead of the new season.

Chesterfield twice surrendered the lead in a 2-2 draw at Telford, but Forbes was happy with the overall performance.

Speaking to Spireites Player, he said: “We’ve not lost a game so it’s really good.

“Today was a little but harder, the opposition was a bit better, but we did well as a team.”

“We thought we had the game in the bag, but we conceded two goals which was sloppy from the whole team.

“We’ve got to learn from this and we’ve got another game coming shortly.”

The defender has featured in all three pre-season fixtures so far but admits that that everyone is fighting for their place.

“It’s a new set of boys and everybody wants to prove what they can do," said the former Leyton Orient defender.

“We’re all fighting for places, we’re all team mates but we are fighting for places.”
