Alan Goodall has been appointed to the club's board of directors.
Goodall was group chairman of Inspirepac, one of the club's major sponsors, before retiring in 2011.

Under Goodall's leadership, Inspirepac was named the top packaging company in the UK last year.

A lifelong Chesterfield fan, Goodall expressed his delight at joining the board. He said: "I'm very excited and I can't wait for the season to get started.
"Along with my fellow supporters, I hope that it will be a very successful season for the club.
"My expertise lies in sales and marketing but I am willing to do anything that I can to help the club in its activities. The aim is to make us successful and put us where we belong, in the Championship."
