A trio who are closely associated with Chesterfield FC have had their names etched permanently on steps at the club’s Proact Stadium.

Chesterfield’s record goalscorer Ernie Moss, current star Jack Lester and loyal supporter Jeff Hall have been given the first three branded ‘Stadium Steps’ at the venue.

Fans can have personalised messages printed on the anti-slip steps, making them an ideal Christmas/birthday gift. They can also be printed with company logos and advertising messages.

Moss, who scored a total of 191 goals for the Spireites, said: “I think it’s a great idea and I’m honoured to have my name on one of the first steps to be put down.”

Lester was equally delighted to see his name feature on a step. He said: “I’m pleased that my name is on a step and I think they’ll make a really good gift.”

Super-fan Jeff was handed a step inrecognition of his loyal support and service. Jeff, 72, was named the first ‘Fan of the Year’ in the Football League awards and still works for the club as a matchday car park steward and Blues on the Move agent.

As a launch offer, anyone ordering a step for next season will get the rest of this season free!
