Chesterfield FC chairman Dave Allen will be the special guest at the inaugural Senior Spireites lunch on Wednesday, January 30 (12.30pm for 1pm).

In conversation with Sky Sports broadcaster Nick Johnson, Allen will discuss his life and career in the leisure industry and talk about his hopes and ambitions for the Spireites.

Allen heads a multi-million pound leisure empire, which includes a string of casinos and Owlerton Greyhound Stadium. He became Chesterfield’s majority shareholder in 2009 and replaced Barrie Hubbard as chairman

this summer.

“We’re planning to host regular Senior Spireites lunches, which will bring together like-minded people aged 55 and over for an enjoyable social occasion,” said a club spokesman.

The two-course meal (main course and dessert), followed by coffee, costs just £11.95. Bookings can be made by phoning 01246 209765.
