Substitute Aaron Sennett-Neilson scored a late winner for the youth team yesterday, as they returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Hartlepool United in the EFL Youth Alliance North East.
Levi Amantchi opened the scoring in the first half at St George's Park, Sheffield Graves, when he capitalised on a goalkeeping mistake and slotted the ball into an empty net from 20-yards-out.
The visitors responded in the second half, when after the Town defence failed to deal with a set-piece, a Pools player was on hand to fire past goalkeeper Teddy Marris.
However, Sennett-Neilson became the hero for Miguel Llera's side, when he slotted home after a fine through ball from Jack Holmes, who had earlier dispossed an opposition player.
The youth team are next in action when they travel to Notts County, this Saturday, April 14 (11am).
