Known simply as Ángel, he signed a two-year deal in August 2015

Born in the Catalonian Capital of Girona in North East Spain, the central midfielder started as a youth player with Espanyol, playing in their B team but he was soon called up to the main squad and over three seasons he played 50 games in La Liga plus a couple in the UEFA Cup during which time he won national U21 honours, starting games against France and Russia plus a sub appearance versus Kazakhstan.

He spent 2009-10 on loan at second flight Rayo Vallecano before signing for his home town club Girona, also in the second level.

Moved to Blackpool in 2011, teaming up with Ian Evatt, and he rejoined the man that brought him to England, Ian Holloway, at Millwall last season.
