The computer glitch, which delayed the implementation of the Spireites new ticketing system seems to have been ironed out and after running live successfully for a number of hours the club can formally announce that match tickets are now on sale for the Barnet and Middlesbrough games.
The club wishes to apologise to any supporters who have been inconvenienced.
Chesterfield chairman Barrie Hubbard said: "I wish to apologise to supporters for the delay but it was always on the cards that in making this once in a lifetime move to a new stadium there would be a few hitches on the way."
He added: "After such a succcessful first match against Derby County, when 7550 supporters enjoyed a wonderful matchday experience in complete safety, we appreciate the good natured response we have had so far from fans who realise that we are very much pioneering here and in the overall scheme of things it is no more than an annoyance."
There are extra opening hours for the ticket office until 7.00pm tonight Friday, after the match on Saturday until 6.00pm, and from 10.00am to 2.00pm on Sunday.
A reminder that season tickets holders have until 5.00pm Tuesday 3 August to claim their seats for the Carling Cup game against Middlesbrough.
BARNSLEY TICKETS STILL ON SALE
Match tickets for this Saturday's game at home to Barnsley have always been on sale at the ticket office as the transaction for these tickets does not involve the computerised new ticketing system
