A young Spireites side lost 4-2 at the BT Local Business Stadium. Jordan Bowery scored two crackers after Chesterfield trailed 3-0 to a brace of Ashley Burbeary goals whilst Greg Wright headed the third to give the EvoStik League Division One South side a 3-0 half time lead. Burbeary had also seen a penalty saved by Shane Redmond, who dived right to save.
Home keeper Leigh Walker made a string of decent saves to keep out Craig Clay, Scott Boden, Bowery Jack Waddle and two from sub Ellis Wall before Bowery hammered in two great finishes.
However Sheffield had the final word when Brian Cusworth headed in from close range to complete the scoring.
