After taking a 2-1 lead at the break the Spireites Reserves did more than enough to hold on to the spoils with another convincing performance against a strong Leeds outfit.
There was a welcome sight of Phil Picken returning to action from injury. After his first start for the first team at the weekend, Danny Boshell put in another 75 minutes of football to help him get rid of any cobwebs in his play.
Chesterfield took the lead after 25 minutes when Jordan Bowery cut in from the right to smash the ball across the Leeds 'keeper into the bottom corner of the net.

On 33 minutes Chesterfield increased their lead following some good link-up play when the ball fell nicely for Adam Rundle to volley a screamer into the top corner from inside the box.
Leeds pulled a goal back just before the break when the highly fancied Mike Grella rounded the trialist 'keeper to slot the ball home.

Despite several second-half substitutions the Spireites continued to pass the ball round well and in the end thwarted the home side.
Mark Crossley said: "Once again the lads played with the right attitude and all the hard work paid off with a good performance and a good result."
