The Whites, with the likes of Enoch Showunmi, Andy Robinson and Rui Marques, looked impressive early on.  They made it difficult for the visitors by keeping possession and took an early lead with a far post header after just ten minutes.

Another cross after twenty minutes was this time side-footed home for a Leeds second goal.  Despite plenty of effort the Spireites were having little joy and Mark Crossley was kept busy in goal to keep the score at two by half-time

Second half was quite a turnaround with Chesterfield making a much better impression by pressing higher up the field.

Martin GrittonAs the momentum turned, the Spireites pulled one back after seventy minutes when Martin Gritton headed firmly home Alan Goodall's cross.

In a bright second-half display Chesterfield scored a second after 80 minutes following as good midfield interception by Dan Gray.  He threaded a perfect ball through for Martin Gritton who took on the 'keeper 1 on1 and slotted the ball coolly into the net.

Mark Crossley was pleased with the comeback and reflected on an impressive track record building for the reserves.  It was also another 90 minutes under his belt for Aaron Downes who is looking almost ready for first team action.

Mark Crossley said: "The lads have shown great attitude and with places up for grabs they did themselves no harm with this performance.
