John Sheridan's side are not the only Spireite team to be involved in cup competition this weekend, when Dave Bentley's young guns take on Wigan Athletic in the Youth Alliance Cup second round.

After an epic seven goal thriller last month that saw the Spireites rein victorious over a tricky Oldham Athletic side, Chesterfield now face the Latics at Warminster Road as they aim to continue their 100% unbeaten run in all cup competitions this season.

The clash against Wigan is scheduled for 12 noon kick off.
