A Spireites reserve XI had a comprehensive 6 - 3 victory in a cracking game of football against a strong-looking Barnsley side at the Tykes training ground.
Martin Gritton fired Chesterfield in front before Danny Hall headed home a second.

Early scorers
Although Barnsley pulled one back it was 3-1 at the break after Scott Boden finished off another good move by rifling in a shot from the edge of the box.
The scoreline proved to be an incentive for renewed efforts by the home side as the Tykes scored twice to get the scores level.
But this end-to-end game was far from over as Chesterfield got a second wind to put the game out of sight.

A brace each
Darren Curren scored a brace, first with a half volley, then late on rounded the keeper in a 1 on 1 to score with some aplomb.
In between Currie's goals Scott Boden got his second with a shot from inside the box.
After the game player coach Mark Crossley congratulated the lads on another good performance.
He said: I know how frustrating it can be not being in the first team, but the rest of the squad have shown a first class attitude in our reserve games, which is a credit to all of them."
" With this type of performance everyone one of them is staking a place in the first team."
