Youth's Millers Preview

Posted on: Fri 03 Apr 2009

With just four matches left to play this season, Chesterfield now have the chance to win the League Title for the first time since their superb 2005-06 season.

Although in order to bring the title back to Saltergate, Grimsby Town or Hull City need to slip up and Chesterfield need to maintain their good run of results.

If all three teams win their remaining games, either Grimsby Town or Hull City will take the title due to goal difference despite the Spireites possibly having the chance to equal them on points.

This weekend sees Dave Bentley's side take on second from bottom Rotherham United, but that doesn't necessarily mean an easy game, with any side capable of upset.

The Millers were bottom before last weekend's fixtures but managed to beat Boston United to leapfrog the Pilgrims and climb off the bottom spot.

Other games this weekend:

North East Conference
Boston United v York City (12.00)
Chesterfield v Rotherham United (10.30)
Doncaster Rovers v Bradford City
Grimsby Town v Darlington
Hull City v Scunthorpe United
Mansfield Town v Hartlepool United (12.00)

If you can't travel to Macclesfield on Saturday, why not come along to Warminster Road to support the Youth side. Kick off is 1030am and there is no charge.
