Three points on Saturday against League leaders Grimsby Town will put the Spireites joint top of the North East Conference League. Last weekend's away win over Doncaster Rovers meant that Dave Bentley's side cut the gap between them and the Mariners to just three points.

With the top four teams all within three points of each other, no one can afford to slip up, especially with just eight matches of the season remaining. Chesterfield have their most difficult games a head and are staying very positive and focused through the experience of manager Dave Bentley "I think we've still got to believe that we can do really well in the League. We've got the players to do that and the players have got the belief to do it, so as the old cliché goes 'just take each game as it comes' and hopefully at the end of the season come out champions. We've got all the top teams to play yet, so the next few weeks are going to be interesting."

The last time these two sides meet was back in late October, where Chesterfield suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Grimsby. Dave Bentley won't be looking to change too much in terms of the starting eleven, as their recent form has been impressive.

The match is 11am kick off at Warminster Road on Saturday 7th March 2009.
