After last weekends postponed Cup fixture against Darlington, the Spireites must now concentrate on league proceedings. Their last league match came two weeks ago when Dave Bentley's side provided a dramatic comeback against Hartlepool United. Two goals down at half time, Chesterfield managed to steal all three points with a superb second half display.
On the same day Boston United, our visitors come Saturday, suffered a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of local neighbours Mansfield Town. Boston United are currently bottom of the North East Conference League with just eight points to their name.
Chesterfield Youth team have had a few players train with Lee Richardson's squad to help improve their talent. Goalkeeper Matthew Malak was put through his paces last week when he was training with the senior team and worked closely with number one Tommy Lee.
