Combative, box to box midfielder signed from Bolton Wanderers in March 2004 after spending two months on loan with The Spireites. Was a youngster at Raith Rovers who moved to the Reebok for a substantial fee after less than 10 minutes first team experience as a 17 year old. Bagged a few goals over the last few seasons, including the Goal of the Season winner against Man City in 2006-07. Battled to beat testicular cancer last season and he again bagged the Goal of the Season award for his strike against Grimsby.
