Signed in January 2009 after scoring two goals for Macclesfield at Saltergate the previous month. A Sports Science Graduate, the Glasgow born target man has also appeared for Plymouth, Yeovil, Shelbourne (in Ireland), Torquay, Grimsby, Lincoln and Mansfield. Scored in his first two Spireites appearances. Cost in the region of £40,000 but has only rarely featured under John Sheridan, though did score the winner on his first league start of the season at Morecambe last season. Martin joined former Club Torquay United on loan in July and is due to return to the b2net in January 2011
