Welcome to Chesterfield how did it all come about?

I was on the road yesterday heading for talks with Wycombe and Orient when the phone rang. So I came and spoke to Chesterfield and was very happy with what I heard and am happy to sign. The manager tried to get me down here in the summer but his budget had virtually gone but now he's come back in for me and given me time to test myself at a higher level.

What type of player are you?

An exciting one I like to think, and I like to get the crowd on their feet. I think I can go in behind or get it to feet and have a decent first touch. I have scored eleven goals in a team at the bottom of the league which can't be bad and if I am in a team that's doing well and creating chances I could have twenty or something like that. So that was part of the decision to come here as well.

So what do you want to achieve at Chesterfield?

I want to become an established League One player to prove to myself and others that I can do it at this level and take it from there.

You started at Aston Villa

Yes I was at Villa for over ten years and until David O'Leary decided he didn't fancy me and let me go but you get that in football. I went out on loan to Stockport last season and ended up at Torquay. It was a gamble going to Torquay with it being so far away from family but I am a lot closer to home now.

What do you know about Chesterfield?

Not a lot other than they had a good Carling Cup run but Kyle Critchell who I know from his loan at Torquay can't speak highly enough about the Club, so that really helped in my decision. We will actually play against each other next week in the U21's in Belfast, so hopefully I will come back with a smile on my face after getting one over on Kyle next week.

What about yourself hobbies and stuff what music do you like?

Hip hop and R&B music wise I try and play golf not very well but I try. I usually just end up getting dragged out shopping by the girlfriend.

What your match day preparation food wise?

A bacon and egg sandwich which sounds odd but every time I have had it I have scored a goal so hopefully I will be having bacon and eggs again this weekend.

What car do you drive?

I drive a Volkswagen Golf

Will you be moving up here?

I will be stopping in Birmingham initially then start looking around estate agents for a place locally.

What do you think Chesterfield could achieve this season?

I would like to think we could get in or around the play offs because I want to do well and I want Chesterfield to do well.
