Michael Jordan you've made your Spireite debut how's that feel?

I am delighted and it's good to get the first game out of the way. I was a bit nervous when I saw my name in the team and once I did the warm up I was fine.

When do you find out you were playing?

Not until we were sat in the dressing room before the game when the Gaffer announced the team.

Tell us about the game?

I wasn't really that busy to be honest shot wise and had to deal with through balls really until towards the end. So it was a nice game to play in really.

Caleb Folan drilled the ball home to give Chesterfield the lead

Everyone's pleased for him, but it doesn't really matter who scores as long as we get some goals

Any nervy moments for you because you looked confident

There were a one or two in the second half Del got a tackle in and took the pace off the ball and I then managed to smoother it

You had a good reception from the Spireite supporters

They were really good throughout from the warm up to the end, they out sang the home support and it's always better to have your own fans behind you

What about the windy conditions?

The wind was awkward and in the second half it just seemed to hold the ball up whichever way you were kicking

What about the shot over the bar at the end?

I let it go really after I felt it was going over the bar. I dived but pulled my hands away from it because I new it was going over

So perhaps you're in pole position for next weekend and a home start against Brighton?

Ye hopefully I am, because I am pleased with my performance today and think I did well so we will have to see what the Gaffer says next Saturday

A clean sheet to start well done

Cheers
