PLAYER of the Month for August, Caleb Folan, spoke to SPIREITES WORLD after the 2-1 win over Rotherham. Read the highlights of the interview right here
Caleb, another goal and Man of the Match, how's that feel?
Brilliant, especially to get the win and it's good to bounce back and get the win after last week. So it was a good performance and I am really pleased with my goal, so I am very happy
Rotherham were never really out of it being only a goal behind
I thought we did well and looked solid and we really should have had more goals. II think I should have got another one.
What was your take on Cutlers Handball?
I tried to nick it around the keeper and it caught him but I was on my way passed him so didn't see where it hit him. The other lads saw it hit his hand. But the referee gave him a yellow card, which I don't really understand because I would have been through on goal with a goalscoring opportunity.
You had an effort cleared off the line
I should have done better there I kind of forgot the ball and played the man but really should have got another goal there.
What did it feel like getting a standing ovation?
It was brilliant. I have had a bit of an up and down time whilst I have been here. But I always try my hardest to give something back and I will be trying my best to keep fit and do my best for the team. So it feels really good to hear the fans appreciating my performance amd I was pleased with that definitely.
So you will enjoy the weekend
Yes a quiet one with the Mrs.
