WE COULD HAVE HAD MORE GOALS

Posted on: Thu 17 Aug 2006

Well Paul, sponsors man of the match and a brace of goals in a 5-1 win, a good day for the Spireites.

Paul HallIt's been a good day for all us.  We got off to a great start and really bossed the game from start to finish.

Take us through the goals

Pheew how much time have you got? The goal that really stands out for me is Caleb's because he's waited such a long time to get a goal. I am pleased with my two goals and Caleb was involved in the first one.  I found myself in the box and I put it in the corner. The second goal was the other end and I cut across the fullback and put it in the other side of the net. The Chief's goals looked a bit dubious, he will no doubt say they were great finishes. So good goals and a good performance and in hindsight we could have had more goals.

The Spireites ended an eleven game run without a home win?

We have had a good pre-season and hopefully if we can keep everyone fit we can improve on last year. We are really working hard for each other and even though we won 5-1 it was one of the hardest games I have played in.

So table topping Port Vale away on Saturday

Port Vale have started really well and Leon Constantine has scored a few goals and they are a very good team, but so are we and we are not scared of anybody home or away.
