Well Shane your first taste of football after three months out?

.It was pleasing to get back into action but the result and performance wasn't really what we were expecting so that was disappointing

A frustrating time for you over the last few months?

It's been awful to be honest and very frustrating. The Clubs been good to me and stuck by me and I am now fit.

So what happened with the injury?

Firstly they thought I had strained my medial ligaments then a scanned showed that it needed an operation. They operated on it ,then after two days at home it became infected and I was rushed back into hospital and put on a drip.I came back out again and after help from everyone at the club I am now fit again.

How would you sum up Chesterfield's season?

Frustrating really frustrating. We felt we would really be in with a chance then all the experienced players dropped out of the side virtually all at the same time and that cost us. The young lads will have learnt a lot from the experienced and that can only benefit them and the side for next season.

What are you going to be up to over the summer?

Obviously I will be looking to get playing some five a side games now I am back fit because I am itching to get back playing. But seriously I will take a break and work on strengthening up my knee over the summer and continue to take my coaching badges before hopefully coming back next season.
