GROLSCH Man of Match Kevan Hurst spoke to SPIREITES WORLD about his goal and the Huddersfield defeat .Read Kevan's thoughts right here

Kevan you first Spireite goal i assume your pleased with that?

Yes so far I have only managed one goal everywhere I have been but I am hoping to score a few more for Chesterfield

You will have score a lot more to keep up with the number going in the other end

(laughs)

I hope that I will create a lot as well that's what I am hoping to do.

The Chief set up the goal itself

A nice lay off to me and Rico being telling me to get my shots off and that's what I did and thankfully it went in, so  I am happy with the goal.

Your goal brought Chesterfield back into the game but it was not enough in the end?

I thought if we could have kept at two all for longer, we could have gone to win. Sadly, mistakes and lapses in concentration led to them getting into positions to score. I just think we have to be more solid as a bank of eight with two solid banks of four and I think we need to work on that in training.

I suppose the young lads should learn from the experience

Obviously but I think some of the older lads can learn from it as well to be honest. They need to get on to the less experienced players. Shinner and Chief help me a lot but I think we need to stick together and talk more in the game especially when we do not have the ball. It is looking up but I think we just need a result to turn things around.

You mention communication what would you be talking about

Just the player behind you to tell you when to show or where to run for the ball and to back each other up really. I need to talk more myself but what I suppose we need someone to organise us into keeping our shape really.

I can see your holding the Grolsch Man of the Match award

I think my Dad will sup that tonight he will probably neck it actually. But he will pleased for me but also tell me what I have done wrong. But I am happy with how I played we just need a result really to turn things around.
