Chesterfield latest new signing Dean Morgan spoke exclusively to Spireites Player following the Spireites draw at Port Vale on Saturday.
Dean told Player "I prefer to play up front but where the Gaffer plays me is another story but I will be trying to play to the best of my ability. I know Drew from my time at Luton and I have played against Ian Breckin and Craig Davies and a few others."
On his career to date and hopes for the future Dean continued
"I got a lucky goal for Colchester at Saltergate and that was the last time I played there but the new Stadiums amazing. I then went to Reading playing in the Championship and we missed out on the play offs. I left Reading when the year they got promoted and moved to Luton when they were in the Championship and I enjoyed my time there. Once they went into adminstration really killed the spirit and its been a battle for them ever since and good luck to them. I then went to Mk Dons and I really didn't get my just rewards there I came on and scored a few goals but Ince didnt really give me the chance I thought I deserved. So I jumped at the chance of joining Dill who I've known since I was eighteen at Aldershot on loan and I was fit and happy and scoring goals.
Dill said he wanted to keep me but he never really offered me anything and my agent said there was alot of interest I went Palace did ok but they had budgets to work to and I moved on. I am probably a week or two behind the rest of the lads fitness wise. I will be working hard this week and hopefully I will play a part next weekend. I just want to score and I know when I am happy and on form not many defenders can stop me and I want to get back into the Championship ulimately and take Chesterfield forward".
