New Spireite striker Craig Davies gave an exclusive interview to Spireites Player shortly after signing a one year deal to join John Sheridan's squad at the b2net stadium.
Craig told Player about how the move came about and he said "My agent spoke to John Sheridan and he obviously wanted to bring me up here and I am happy to do that. I had a good spell with John when I was at Oldham so we both know what each other Is about."
On his spell a Brighton Craig added "Things didn't work out like I wanted at Brighton and I wanted to get out and play and they were willing to let me do that and now I am here. Last season I had two decent games against Chesterfield for Port Vale so hopefully I can now do a good job for Chesterfield."
On his aspirations for the season ahead and his potential strike partnership with Jack Lester Craig continued " I expect to add some power, good legs and hopefully some goals to the forward line, and am looking forward to playing with Jack Lester. I don't know too much about Jack except he scores a lot of goals but hopefully I can learn a bit from him and we can form a good partnership. I reckon we can push on and get a top three spot and the players already here, with the ones the Gaffer's bringing in, can do that."
