"I got a phone call from Keith Hill and he said John Sheridan's had been in touch and wanted me for the rest of season.  I told him I was interested and I met with the manager and liked what he had say and I am happy to join, and Chesterfield who have taken over my contract until the end of the season."

On his career to date Adam continued "I was at Newcastle as a scholar and I then moved to Darlington and then Carlisle bought me. I stayed at Carlisle until they were relegated to the Conference. I then went to Ireland and played with Carlton Palmer over there and he took me to Mansfield when he got the Mansfield job. I know that won't be a popular decision round here. I then went to Rochdale had four successful years at Rochdale. Rochdale have lost out in the play off twice and they are skating the league at the moment. Chesterfield are one of the bigger clubs in League Two and I actually fancied coming here when I left Mansfield and when this opportunity came up I was delighted to take it."

Finally Adam concluded the interview by telling Player about his playing style and his hopes for the remainder of the season

"I a wingman, a left footer and like to play on the left and jink in and out create goals and score the odd goal as well. I have come here to impress the fans and after training with the lads this morning we have a good squad .I can't really see any reason why we can't gain promotion. Chesterfield are sitting pretty in a play off place at the moment and not to far off the automatic spots which has to be the aim."
