NEW loan signing Adam Rooney spoke to SPIREITES WORLD shortly after training on Friday with his new team mates. Read  the highlights of the interview right here

Adam you have joined the Spireites on loan, how did the deal come about ?

I got called in by the manager and told Lee Richardson wanted me to come to Chesterfield. So I am delighted to come on loan and to hopefully play some football.

What type of player are you ?

I am mainly a goalscorer and tend to be in the right place at the right time

You have a good goal scoring record especially at International level

I have managed to do well at the International level and I have a game coming up this week for the U21's against Portugal, so hopefully I might get a couple more goals.

Where did you start your football ?

In Dublin at Home Farm and Crumlin United and I joined Stoke's Academy as a second year.

What are wanting to achieve whilst at Chesterfield ?

I am hoping to play football, score goals, and I want to help Chesterfield do well.
