Chesterfield Football Club was met by a special visitor on Tuesday afternoon when dedicated cyclist Steve Hall arrived at his 52rd ground of an incredible stadium tour, a tour that will see the 'mad cyclist' (a title he has given himself) visit all the 92 football league cubs in England and Wales.

Steve's cause isn't to raise money, but to raise awareness of the 45 million refugees worldwide who he calls 'the forgotten people'.
Starting at Selhurst Park on 19th May, Steve will continue to visit the remaining grounds before finishing in London on 18th August, totalling almost 3,000 miles in the process.
Having been out of the country for nine years, Steve has taken up residency in sunny Spain, but returned to England for this epic challenge. Once an ambitious footballer back in his day, Steve is the first to admit that fitness hasn't been a regular occurrence since, but uses no excuse when conquering the Peaks of Derbyshire.
Having stepped foot in the b2net stadium for the first ever time, Steve then proceeded to be the first ever cyclist to cycle around the pitch. Earlier in the day he had visited Yorkshire sides Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United, making the slow journey south to Nottingham, which is next on Steve's checklist.

On behalf of Chesterfield Football Club Adam Hulme, the Spireites multi-media assistant, was presented with a symbolic refugee badge to remember the day's events.

You can follow Steve and the rest of his journey on his personal blog, which he updates daily with the latest stories of his venture at http://theshirt2010.co.uk.
Everyone at Chesterfield Football Club wishes the 'mad cyclist' the best of luck with the rest of his journey and his objective to raise awareness for the plight of refugees worldwide.
