A Chesterfield fan who is about to be deployed to Afghanistan for a second time is the guest of honour as the Spireites back the Help the Heroes charity at this Saturday's home game against Port Vale.
Petty Officer Aircraft Engineering Technician David Moy, who is a lifelong Spireites fan, currently serves with 846 Naval Air Squadron and is on leave before being deployed to Afghanistan for a second tour of duty later this year.
His son Brandon will be the mascot for the game, which is part of a Football for Heroes week in which all 72 clubs in the Football League show their support for the Armed Forces.
Forty year old Petty Officer Moy is Chesterfield born and lived at the family home in Boythorpe before moving to Somerset after joining up. He has spent 19 years on the Commando Helicopter circuit and has previously served in Northern Ireland and had three tours of Iraq.

Members of the Mercian Regiment will also be in attendance.
Chesterfield chairman Barrie Hubbard said: "We are delighted to be part of this Football League initiative as the Help for Heroes charity is a worthy cause. We are also pleased that Petty Officer David Moy and his family are able to join us for this tribute to the Armed Forces."

More details about Football for Heroes Week
Chesterfield FC is joining forces with all 72 Football League Clubs in a united week of action to raise awareness and vital funds for Help for Heroes - The Football League's Official Charity Partner for the 2009/10 season.
Football for Heroes week is taking place between March 6 and 14 allowing the whole of The Football League to show its support for the efforts of our Armed Forces.
Chesterfield will be holding their game against Port Vale on Saturday 13 March 2010, kick-off 3.00pm.
The aim of the special week of activity by football clubs is to help raise awareness of the charity which helps rehabilitate members of the British Armed Forces injured in the line of duty.
Members of local armed forces in the Chesterfield area are being invited to attend the Spireites game in uniform and can collect a free ticket in advance from the ticket office by showing their ID.
There will be a bucket collection at the game organised by local Sea Cadets to enable supporters to make their personal donations to the charity.
Chesterfield's players will sign a special Football League Help for Heroes football which will then be auctioned off for the charity.
