Chesterfield FC's prestigious black tie Farewell Banquet, sponsored by David C Jones Insurance Services and due to be held in a giant marquee on the Saltergate pitch next June, has sold out. 

All 675 tickets at £45 a head have been snapped up since first going on sale in October. 

This great night of nostalgia includes a parade of over 50 Chesterfield football stars from the past.

CFC director of marketing Alan Stevenson said: "We have been overwhelmed by the fantastic response for tickets and the event, which is still over six months away, is a total sell-out."

Tickets for the Player of the Year Awards Night and Farewell Dance, which is being held in the marquee the following night on Saturday 5 June 2010, are also selling well with over 400 confirmed bookings so far.
